Day 1, April 5th
Lora,
So here he is resting. We got home about 5:00 pm. I call him Bengal so haven't come up with a name for him. Kind of a tough afternoon for him because he is still scared. He has eaten some dried food and drank some water. There is evidence he has relieved himself also. I left my contract at your home so I hope you will hold it and mail it to me when I give you my address. |

Day 2 April 6th The NASCAR Cat. What is your favorite car? The NASCAR Cat may want to display your car in one of his many adventures. He is purring and becoming less afraid of his new situation. After about 10 visits to his room today, Ben is seeking my attention and eating in front of me. He also does his bathroom when I know he is going. He is definitely getting used to the atmosphere around here. Ben is certainly getting friendly now. He looks forward to paying with me when I walk into the room he is in. Shadow, on the other hand, is not to happy with the turn of events. They saw each other today and it was a hissing tournament for about 15 minutes. |

Evening, day 2, and Ben waits for me to come into his room. We have made a lot of progress today. He is just wanting to get out and start exploring but I am giving him a few more days. My old girl still is not to happy, but maybe tomorrow she will start coming around. |

Day 3, April 7th He tried some of his moist food and ate well. Everything going okay. He is going to the bathroom well. The ridges on his neck seem to be disappearing. Now he is getting a little itching to get out of the containment room, however the big Momma is still being worked on to blend them together. Just finished up his first 3 oz. can of Instinctive Choice. Ben sat on my lap twice today watching TV. Probably a total of 2 hours. Momma is roaming aro0und and did not hiss when she saw Ben on my lap. |

Day 4, April 8th Ben is doing great and just waiting for freedom day. Eating well, 1 3 oz can per day and a lot of dry food. He get pretty playful and now has his own Snuggie on the chair he has claimed as his home. Momma seems to be getting better with Ben around, but still hisses when she sees him. Hopefully tomorrow I will find a much different momma to contend with when I let Ben out. |
|
Friday, April 9th. Freedom Day Ben has finally got the whole home to roam about in. For the first two hours I was watching a tiger zipping through the house in all different directions. Momma was standing on the counter just watching the crazy tiger running around and hissing every once in a while. She has seemed to get the idea that Ben is around for the duration and seems rather relaxed at the moment. Suddenly it got quiet and when I noticed went looking for Ben. After about ten minutes I found him wrapped up in his snuggie on the office chair he has claimed as home. The air seems pretty smooth so Ben will probably be left to wander as he pleases.

April 12th, Monday Well, it looks like Ben and Shadow may be starting to blend. She now just put up with the new bengal. She does recognize it when I say "kid" as her eyes pop up and she starts looking around for him. |
